Venezuela Thanks Iran for Warning About U.S. Military Presence in the Caribbean

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Mayadeen, venezuela’s Foreign Minister Iván Gil Pinto said, “we sincerely thank Iran for its warning regarding the increased U.S. military presence in the Caribbean region.”
The Venezuelan foreign minister emphasized, “We appreciate Iran’s continuous solidarity with the people of Venezuela and its firm demand for respect of our national sovereignty.”
Iván Gil noted that this international support strengthens their commitment to defend the truth, their legitimate right to self-defense, and their pursuit of peace.
Tensions between Washington and Caracas have escalated over recent weeks as the Trump administration reportedly attacked a number of boats in the caribbean Sea and recently in the Pacific Ocean, claiming they were transporting individuals trafficking drugs into the United States.
The Washington Post recently cited informed sources alleging that U.S. forces are preparing orders for a possible attack on Venezuela. High-level discussions are underway regarding whether such an American assault will take place.
