Key Topics in Talks Between Putin and Belarusian President

the presidents of Russia and Belarus have discussed increased communications ahead of the upcoming Collective Security Treaty Association (CSTO) summit in Bishkek and the meeting of senior officials from the Commonwealth of Autonomous States (CIS) in Saint Petersburg.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik,Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
The two presidents discussed several important issues during the call.
Sputnik detailed that their talks focused on practical matters, bilateral cooperation-including in the energy sector-and key international topics.
They also agreed to maintain closer contact ahead of the CSTO summit scheduled in Bishkek and the late-year meeting of senior CIS officials in Saint Petersburg.
