CENTCOM Terrorist Command Issues Statement on Iran’s Seizure of Rogue Oil Tanker

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) released a statement today, Sunday, claiming that Iran illegally seized a commercial ship flying the Marshall Islands flag in the Strait of Hormuz two days ago.
CENTCOM alleged that Iranian forces’ boarding and seizure of the vessel constituted a clear violation of international laws. It condemned Tehran’s actions as undermining freedom of navigation and demanded that Iran provide legal justification for detaining the ship.
Notably, rapid reaction units from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy intercepted and detained an oil tanker named Talara flagged under the Marshall Islands at 7:30 a.m.,two days ago, following an order from judicial authorities to confiscate its cargo. The tanker was carrying 30,000 tons of petrochemical products en route to Singapore and was directed to anchor yesterday for investigation into violations.
The IRGC Navy stated that this operation was carried out under legal responsibilities aimed at protecting Iran’s national interests and resources. It emphasized that after thorough inspection of the vessel, its cargo, and related documents-performed successfully by IRGC forces-the tanker was confirmed to be transporting unauthorized goods.
