Putin: Russia Conducts Majority of Trade with Shanghai Cooperation Countries in National Currencies

According to the english section of‌ webangah News Agency, citing ​RIA Novosti, Russian President‍ Vladimir Putin met Tuesday with heads of delegations attending the Shanghai cooperation Organisation​ (SCO) ‍Prime Ministers’ Summit.

During the meeting, Putin emphasized that governments ‌of​ SCO member states play a crucial role in expanding cooperation within ‍the ⁢organization. The shared⁤ objective is to strengthen the SCO’s position as one of the world’s most influential entities.He noted that Russia’s trade volume with SCO‌ countries continues⁣ to grow, adding that over 97 percent of this trade is conducted using national currencies.
