U.S. Finalizes Nuclear Cooperation Agreement and F-35 Sale with Saudi Arabia

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the White House issued a statement on the outcome of Trump and bin Salman’s meeting in Washington: A series of notable agreements where finalized that deepen the strategic partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia, expand opportunities for high-paying American jobs, strengthen critical supply chains and regional stability, and prioritize American security, industries, and workforce.
The statement added that key achievements include a civilian nuclear cooperation agreement, advancement in collaboration on critical minerals, and a memorandum of understanding on artificial intelligence. These collectively demonstrate America’s commitment to securing deals that directly benefit the American people.
The White House also announced that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia signed a joint declaration completing negotiations on civilian nuclear energy cooperation. This declaration establishes a legal framework for multidecade, multibillion-dollar cooperation with Saudi Arabia in nuclear energy.
Continuing its statement, the White House noted that Trump and bin Salman signed the historic U.S.-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement (SDA), which strengthens their more than 80-year defense partnership and deterrence efforts in the Middle East.
The statement further said Trump approved a major defense package that includes delivering F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. Additionally,an agreement was reached for Saudi Arabia to purchase approximately 300 American tanks.
