US State Department Approves Supplying Patriot System Equipment to Ukraine

According to the English⁣ section of ‌ webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Kyiv Post, the US Department of State has agreed to ​provide ⁢logistical support for Ukraine’s Patriot air ⁤defense systems valued at $105 million.

The Pentagon’s ‍Defense Security Cooperation Agency‍ stated ​that Kyiv requested ​technical services, spare‌ parts, and equipment upgrades-including enhancing‌ M901 launchers‌ to the M903 standard.

The statement noted that ‌this support package‌ is estimated at approximately $105 million. the ⁤sale ⁤aligns with US foreign policy and national security objectives and will ⁢strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.

By ​law,the US Congress ‌has ⁢30 days to review this transaction and may block it‍ if necessary.

Earlier, the⁣ United States ⁢paused arms deliveries to Kyiv‍ in an effort to encourage Russia to engage in ⁣negotiations.Though, following failed talks between former⁢ President Donald‌ Trump⁢ and Russian ‍President vladimir Putin over halting the war in Ukraine, weapon shipments⁢ have⁢ resumed.
