German and Romanian Fighters Intercept Unidentified Drone

The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that after Russia’s attack near the border between Romania and Ukraine, two Romanian fighter jets took to the skies, according to webangah News Agency.
The statement from Romania’s Ministry of Defense said that initially,two German Eurofighter Typhoon jets departed from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base. They flew out following attacks near the river border with Romania to monitor airspace along the Ukraine frontier. Radar then detected a drone approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) inside Romanian airspace near the villages of Priprawa and Chilia Veche in Tulcea County in southeastern Romania.
The ministry added that the drone intermittently appeared on radar for nearly 12 minutes, moving from Colibași in Moldova to Fălticeni in Romania, and later within Romania’s Oancea area.
Afterward, two additional Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets launched from 71st Air Base in Câmpia Turzii.
