EU Reacts to New Proposal for Resolving Ukraine Crisis

According to webangah News Agency’s English section, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell announced that EU foreign ministers will discuss the US plan to resolve the Ukraine crisis today, Thursday.
Borrell added that the European Union did not participate in formulating Washington’s proposed plan.
He further stated: “We will impose sanctions on several Sudanese entities.”
Without explicitly condemning Israeli actions, Borrell emphasized that focus should remain on maintaining a ceasefire in Gaza.
Earlier, NBC reported citing a senior US administration official that President Donald Trump approved a 28-point plan this week aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The plan was secretly developed by senior US officials in consultation with Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia’s Direct Investment Fund, and Ukrainian authorities. It concentrates on providing security guarantees to both sides as part of ensuring lasting peace.
According to The Wall Street Journal, under this proposal, Ukraine must agree to refrain from joining NATO for at least several years.
