Putin: Objectives of Special Military Operation in Ukraine Must Be Achieved

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Rossiya Al-Youm, a spokesperson for the Kremlin reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited one of the command posts of the Western Group on Thursday.
During the visit, Putin attended a meeting with the Chief of the Russian General Staff, head of main operations, and commanders from both the Western and southern groups.
Military leaders presented updates on conditions in Konstantinovka, along the Kramatorsk axis, and around Kupiansk.
The russian president emphasized that all missions assigned to military forces at a previous meeting have been carried out.
Putin stated that Ukrainian soldiers should be given an chance to lay down their arms and surrender.
He noted that fifteen battalions of Ukrainian Armed Forces are encircled near Kupiansk.
The president added: “Since March last year, Ukraine’s political leadership has been nothing more than a criminal group usurping power. Officials there ‘sit on golden pots’ and show no concern for their country’s fate or its soldiers.”
Putin affirmed that the objectives of Russia’s special military operation must be achieved unconditionally.
The president said his country’s peopel trust their soldiers and expect favorable outcomes for Russia.
Valery Gerasimov,Chief of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed forces,also spoke at this meeting. He said Russian forces continue to fulfill their duties and are advancing in nearly all directions.
Gerasimov added that over 80 percent of Volchansk city in Kharkiv region has been liberated.
Noting that ukraine’s political leadership refuses to order surrender instructions to its troops,he stated Russian forces have fully liberated Kupiansk city.
The chief warned that due to bleak circumstances many Ukrainian soldiers are choosing to surrender.
