Multiple Explosions Shake Kyiv; Ukraine Declares State of Alert

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, al Mayadeen network quoted the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reporting that Ukrainian media sources confirmed hearing several explosions in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital.
The report states that at the same time, air raid alerts were declared throughout Ukraine.
Reuters also reported that Ukrainian air defenses engaged Russian drones over kyiv.
The explosions come shortly after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the possibility of taking necessary steps to bring an end to the war.
Zelensky stated that 28 provisions from the U.S.-proposed peace plan no longer appear in the revised version, with many issues appropriately included in its new framework.
He added that it is now feasible to practically implement a list of essential actions required to end the conflict.
Simultaneously occurring, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister said his country and the United states have reached a peace document capable of being enforced effectively.
This statement follows remarks by White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt earlier today concerning Ukraine’s new peace plan. She noted some remaining areas of disagreement but emphasized ongoing work between teams on these points.
Leavitt stressed: “Our teams are working around the clock to reach an agreement in Ukraine.”
She added: “President Trump remains optimistic about achieving a deal.”
“He wants to see an agreement as soon as possible and trusts his team is doing everything necessary to accomplish this goal,” Leavitt said.
The spokesperson also confirmed there is no option for continuing arms sales through NATO for shipment to Ukraine and reiterated Trump’s desire for an end to the war.
She described discussions between American and Ukrainian delegations as constructive and fruitful.
