Cuba: Any U.S. Intervention in Venezuela Is a Clear Violation of International Law

Cuba’s Foreign Minister stated that any U.S. intervention ⁤in Venezuela constitutes a clear violation of international law.

according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen, Cuban Foreign Minister ⁤Bruno Rodríguez emphasized that U.S. interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs violates international law and the United Nations Charter.

He added that the⁣ U.S. military presence in the region poses ‍a serious threat to Latin America and the entire Caribbean basin.

The Cuban foreign minister also warned that ⁢any American attempt to overthrow Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro ⁢would be ⁢highly perilous, irresponsible, and contrary to international law and the UN Charter.

U.S. officials announced on Saturday that Washington is preparing to launch a new phase of military operations against Venezuela in ⁢the coming days.

Some U.S. government sources informed⁤ Axios that President Donald Trump has told⁤ his advisors⁢ he intends to engage directly with Nicolás Maduro.

The sources claimed this decision marks a meaningful shift toward aggressive diplomacy by Trump against Venezuela and may indicate that direct military action or attacks ⁤on Caracas are‌ not imminent.
