U.S. Suspends Afghan Citizen Immigration to the Country

according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, ABC reported based on sources within U.S. government agencies that the suspect in the 2024 Washington attack had applied for asylum.
These sources added that the suspect received asylum in April 2025 during Donald trump’s presidency.
In response, U.S. citizenship and Immigration Services announced it has halted processing all immigration applications from Afghan nationals until further notice. The agency emphasized that security protocols are currently under review alongside assessments of these applications.
Last night, Patrick Morrisey, Governor of West Virginia, announced on social media platform X that two National Guard members who were seriously wounded earlier today in the Washington D.C. shooting have died.
White House spokesperson Karoline leavitt confirmed that former President Donald Trump has been informed about the shooting involving two National Guard members.
