Venezuela’s Defense Minister: We Will Defend Our Sovereignty at All Costs
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency adn Al Mayadeen Network, Venezuela’s Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López responded to Trump’s illegal decision to declare Venezuelan airspace closed. He stated, “We will respond with dignity, legitimacy, and relying on the moral strength of our people who will never allow their honor to be compromised. We will defend our sovereignty at any cost.”
The Venezuelan defense minister described the U.S. government’s threat as a hostile,arbitrary act that violates international law.
He emphasized that no foreign power has the right to interfere in Venezuela’s sovereign decisions, disrupt them, or impose conditions on the country.
Padrino López also called on the international community to condemn this hostile move, which threatens peace in the Caribbean and South America regions.
