NATO Issues Threat to Russia

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News agency, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, told the financial Times that NATO is adopting a more assertive stance toward Russia and may shift from reactive measures to preemptive actions.
He stated that even though legal obstacles complicate launching preemptive operations, NATO is evaluating such strikes in response to Russian aggression.
The military official added that NATO could classify these strikes as “defensive measures,” but acknowledged this approach goes beyond the alliance’s traditional protocols.
Admiral Dragone pointed out that the main challenge lies within legal frameworks and determining which nation or NATO body would oversee such operations.
Previously, Russian Ambassador to Belgium Denis gonchar warned that by “scaring public opinion with fabricated Kremlin plans to attack member states,” NATO was preparing itself for a “large-scale war with Russia.”
