Egypt’s Defense Minister Warns of Full-Scale War and Uncertain Global Future

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Cairo Al-Akhbariyah, Lieutenant General abdel Majeed Saqr, Egypt’s Defense Minister, stated that Egypt has repeatedly warned about the region moving toward a full-scale war that could lead the world to an uncertain fate. Egypt has echoed this warning through its President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi about the risk of descending into a large-scale conflict with unpredictable global consequences.
The Egyptian defense minister emphasized that this stance reflects profound insight and a sincere, informed warning against the consequences of relying on arrogance and power over reason. He noted that at the Sharm El-Sheikh peace conference-where egypt hosted peace-seeking countries-this message was practically underscored as efforts were unified to halt the war in Gaza and stop two years of bloodshed.
Saqr added that both the region and the world are witnessing rapid developments and escalating conflicts.
He stressed that constant readiness is essential to meet challenges and threats effectively.
Lieutenant General Saqr reiterated Egypt’s warning against illogical moves based on force rather than comprehensive, just peace. He highlighted that Egypt’s strength lies in various elements which are crucial investments towards achieving genuine peace.
