Belarus Protests Lithuanian Drone Violation of Its Airspace
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs protested the violation of its airspace by a Lithuanian drone by summoning the Vilnius chargé d’affaires.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA novosti, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus announced on Monday that it summoned the Lithuanian chargé d’affaires and formally protested Minsk’s objections to the unauthorized entry of a Lithuanian drone into its airspace.
The ministry stated that on November 30, this drone illegally crossed into Belarusian airspace and crashed near the city of Grodno.It emphasized that Minsk regards this breach as a provocative act by Lithuania and reserves the right to take any necessary measures to protect its sovereignty.
