Russia and China Hold Security Meeting in Moscow

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing TASS via Mehr News Agency, a senior official from Russia’s Security Council announced that Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, and Wang yi, China’s Foreign Minister, will hold a new round of strategic security consultations today in Moscow.
The Russian Security Council stated that the two sides will discuss current international and regional security issues, developments in the Asia-Pacific region, military cooperation, and coordination between their countries’ security and intelligence agencies during the talks.
Earlier, Mao Ning, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that Wang yi would travel to Moscow on December 1-2 at Shoigu’s invitation to participate in these consultations.This meeting marks the twentieth round of security dialogues between the two nations.
Chinese officials noted that during this round of consultations,Moscow and Beijing will present their views on major regional and global strategic issues and examine matters related to their strategic security cooperation.
Shoigu previously told TASS that cooperation between Moscow and Beijing has reached an unprecedented level. Both sides aim to further strengthen bilateral security talks. In late February, Shoigu traveled to Beijing for meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Wang Yi.
