Israel’s Policy Focuses on Re-Arresting and Targeting Released Palestinian Prisoners

The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, reports that the Israeli regime has so far detained or killed 40 Palestinian prisoners who were recently freed as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal.
As the first phase of prisoner exchanges between Israel and resistance forces, 700 Palestinian prisoners have been released.
Israel justifies these actions with various claims, including allegations that released prisoners have returned to resistance groups. The Shabak security service asserts that 82 percent of the 1,027 prisoners exchanged in 2011 rejoined resistance ranks.
In addition to rearresting newly freed prisoners, Israel is detaining hundreds of Palestinians from different areas without cause to increase the number of detainees in its notorious prisons.
