Israel’s Policy Focuses on Re-Arresting and Targeting Released Palestinian Prisoners

The⁤ Israeli ‌regime has adopted a policy ‍of‌ re-arresting or targeting Palestinian prisoners who were recently⁤ released under the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

The English section of⁢ webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, reports ⁢that⁢ the ⁣Israeli regime has so far‍ detained or killed 40 Palestinian prisoners who‍ were recently freed as ⁢part ⁤of the Gaza‍ ceasefire deal.

As the first phase of prisoner exchanges between Israel and⁣ resistance forces, 700‌ Palestinian prisoners have been ⁣released.

Israel justifies these actions with various claims, including allegations that released prisoners have returned to resistance ⁣groups. ⁤The Shabak security service ‌asserts that 82 percent of the 1,027⁣ prisoners exchanged in‌ 2011 rejoined resistance ranks.

In ‍addition to rearresting newly freed prisoners, Israel is detaining hundreds of ⁢Palestinians from different areas without cause to increase the number ‌of detainees in ⁤its notorious prisons.
