Irish PM Calls for Preventing Putin’s Success in Ukraine

Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin should not be allowed to succeed in Ukraine, ahead of planned discussions between U.S. envoys and the Russian leader. Ireland has pledged continued support to Ukraine, including financial aid and assistance with its EU membership bid.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin must not be allowed to achieve success in Ukraine. The remarks were made on Tuesday, prior to anticipated meetings between U.S. representatives and Putin at the Kremlin.
Martin further claimed that the Ukrainian people deserve to live in safety and security. He highlighted Ireland’s commitment to the country, noting that they have already provided €340 million in aid to Ukraine and intend to maintain their support.
The Prime Minister also announced forthcoming additional aid packages for Ukraine and affirmed Ireland’s dedication to accelerating Ukraine’s path towards joining the European Union.
