Zelensky: Ukraine Seeks End to War with Russia, Awaits US Peace Plan Details

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that his country has an opportunity to bring an end to the ongoing conflict with Russia. Zelensky stated that work has commenced on 20 clauses of the peace plan proposed by the United States.
Addressing the situation, President Zelensky emphasized Ukraine’s need for a fair and equitable peace agreement. He also expressed his aspirations for Ukraine to join the European Union in the coming years. Furthermore, he called for the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, asserting that these funds would help restore Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Zelensky noted that the American delegation will brief Ukraine on the results of its negotiations in Russia, after which Ukraine will determine its next steps. He stressed the urgency of achieving tangible results, given the daily loss of life. Zelensky also conveyed his readiness to meet with President Trump, emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s involvement in any decisions concerning its future. He cautioned that there would be no easy solutions to end the war, and he stressed the need for guarantees that Russia will not repeat its aggression against Ukraine.
“We must ensure that Russia will not repeat the war against us, and we want guarantees in this regard,” Zelensky said.
