China Urges US to Sever Ties with Taiwan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that Beijing firmly opposes any official interactions between the United States and Taiwan. He called on Washington to halt these relationships and avoid sending erroneous signals to separatist elements.
Referring to Taiwan’s discussions regarding the restoration of relations with Honduras, Lin emphasized that the “One China” principle forms the political bedrock and essential prerequisite for relations between China and Honduras. He added that the proper development of bilateral relations aligns with the fundamental and long-term interests of both nations.
In another part of his remarks, the spokesperson addressed the European Union’s efforts to seize frozen Russian assets, stating that Beijing condemns such actions. He stressed that all parties should contribute to a political resolution of the crisis and establish the necessary conditions for peace negotiations, rather than exacerbating the situation.
These statements were made in response to the European Union’s intention to confiscate frozen Russian assets and allocate them to Ukraine.
