Israeli Military Activity Reported Near Quneitra, Syria

Sources in Syria report new movements by Israeli military forces in the vicinity of Quneitra, raising concerns over escalating tensions in the region. The alleged activity includes patrols and the deployment of military vehicles near the Golan Heights.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian sources have reported renewed activity by Israeli forces in southern Syria, specifically near Quneitra. These reports detail patrols conducted by Israeli soldiers near the Briqa dam in the Quneitra countryside.

The sources also noted the presence of Israeli army bulldozers in the area. On the previous day, similar reports indicated that seven Israeli military vehicles and troop carriers entered the town of Bir Ajam and the village of Ruwayhinah in the central Quneitra countryside.

Additionally, a group of Israeli soldiers reportedly patrolled north of the Kudna Dam, near Ain Ziwan, located in the southern Quneitra countryside. Hours before these incidents, Israeli forces were observed heading towards the village of Saida al-Hanout and the western al-Duwaya area, also in southern Quneitra.

Since the onset of the Syrian conflict, Israel has launched multiple attacks within Syria. In one instance, Israel cited the protection of the Druze population as justification for bombing areas of Damascus.

The Israeli military has reportedly crossed the demarcation line between the occupied Golan Heights and Syria, extending its presence into areas near the Golan, specifically in the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra.
