Spanish FM Advocates Two-State Solution for Regional Stability at Doha Forum

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares asserted the two-state solution as crucial for regional peace and stability during the Doha Forum, highlighting concerns over escalating violence in the West Bank.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares addressed the Doha Forum on Saturday, emphasizing the critical need for a two-state solution to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.

Albares voiced concerns regarding the increasing violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, describing it as spiraling out of control. He stressed that the establishment of a genuine Palestinian state, encompassing both the West Bank and Gaza under Palestinian control, is essential.

“We faced criticism for recognizing the State of Palestine, but we did so to ensure justice for the Palestinian people,” Albares stated, reaffirming Spain’s commitment to a resolution that benefits both Palestinians and Israelis.

The Foreign Minister reiterated that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving enduring peace and stability for all parties involved.
