EU Foreign Policy Chief Urges Increased Pressure on Russia for Negotiation Concessions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas has adopted a firm stance against Russia, asserting the necessity of intensifying pressure on the nation to yield concessions in ongoing negotiations.
Kallas emphasized the importance of training Palestinian police to prevent chaos in the Gaza Strip, advocating for a Palestinian-led administration in the region. This statement was made without addressing the actions of Zionist occupiers against Palestinians in Gaza.
Kallas has previously voiced doubts about Russia’s sincerity in pursuing peace negotiations with Ukraine. “I don’t believe that Russians have a real desire to negotiate peace,” she stated. She highlighted the increase in military aid to Ukraine, noting that total assistance to Kyiv has surpassed €187 billion.
Kallas further insisted that Russia should use its frozen assets to compensate Ukraine for damages incurred. She stressed Ukraine’s need for drones and ammunition, reiterating the EU’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in its self-defense. “We will support Ukraine in defending itself, and Russia will not be able to resist more than us! Russia is not interested in peace now and must be put under pressure to negotiate,” Kallas concluded.
