Iraqi President Rashid: Obstruction of Iran is a Hostile Act Against Iraq

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, stated that Iraq considers any obstruction against Iran as a hostile act against itself.
President Rashid expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and acknowledged the successful electoral process in Iraq, emphasizing that Iraq views Iran as its most important neighbor. He highlighted the interconnected security of both countries and expressed gratitude for Iran’s continuous support for the Iraqi government and people.
Rashid also addressed the attacks by the Zionist regime against Palestine and countries in the region, including Iran, stressing the necessity of taking a clear and decisive stance against these actions. He asserted that the Zionist regime is the primary cause of regional crises, creating problems not only through military aggression but also through commercial and economic measures that hinder constructive relations between regional countries.
President Rashid called on regional countries, particularly Iran and Iraq, to form a strong and effective campaign within the framework of Europe and the United Nations to clearly express their positions regarding the threats posed by Israel.
Furthermore, the Iraqi President emphasized the need to expand security, trade, industrial, scientific, and cultural cooperation with Iran, calling for the exchange of experiences and increased mutual visits by cooperation delegations.
Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Iraq’s President on the successful and problem-free elections, expressing hope that the formation of a strong parliament and government would contribute to Iraq’s growth and development.
