Strategic Imbalance Poses Existential Threat to Zionist Regime, Study Finds

A new report highlights the Zionist regime’s deepening strategic imbalance, warning it could escalate into an existential crisis fueled by internal divisions and regional conflicts.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Zionist regime faces a critical strategic imbalance that risks becoming an existential threat, as detailed in a study by the Al-Zaytouna Centre. This instability has intensified since the Likud Party’s alliance with extremist Talmudic factions in late 2022 and the onset of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.

The crisis reflects structural domestic and international challenges exacerbated by the regime’s right-wing dominance and societal fractures. Strategic imbalance—defined as a state’s inability to maintain long-term stability—has plunged the regime into persistent turmoil, with repercussions across political, economic, and security spheres.

Key factors include widespread 2023 judicial reform protests, unprecedented military-cabinet rifts, and ideological contradictions between settlement expansion and regional stability needs. Public trust in the regime has plummeted, while the failure of traditional deterrence methods and Hamas’s resistance during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm further destabilized the regime.

Analysts warn that temporary wartime reprieves mask chronic instability, with three potential scenarios ahead—fragile recovery, continued deterioration, or systemic collapse due to extremist policies. U.S. President Donald Trump recently acknowledged the regime’s precarious global standing, with Israeli analyst Yossi Verter crediting Trump for averting ‘political suicide.’

Despite a UN Security Council resolution on Gaza, structural drivers of imbalance persist, leaving the regime vulnerable to explosive regional tensions and eroding international legitimacy.
