Joulani Forces Attack Protesters in Syria with Live Ammunition and Blades

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Joulani forces launched violent attacks on protesters in several Syrian cities, including Latakia and Homs, using live ammunition and cold weapons. Local sources confirmed that demonstrators in Al-Zahra and Wadi al-Dhahab in Homs were injured during the crackdown.
In Latakia, clashes erupted in Al-Zahra Square, leaving dozens wounded after security forces fired on protesters. The Syrian Human Rights Watch Center reported that demonstrations took place in Banias, Latakia, Jableh, and Homs, where pro-government supporters and Joulani forces assaulted protesters.
Joulani forces dispersed crowds in Banias, Al-Ziraa Square in Latakia, Jableh, and parts of Homs, suppressing freedom of assembly. Several protesters were detained in Homs, while others in Latakia were beaten. Journalists and activists were also targeted in the attacks.
In Jableh, pro-government assailants attacked demonstrators with knives and cleavers, while live rounds were fired in the city’s outskirts. Tear gas and sound bombs were reportedly used in Tartus to break up protests. Meanwhile, Syrian news network Al-Akhbariya reported one fatality and several injuries among internal security forces during protests in Latakia.
