Russia Insists on Security Guarantees for Any Ukraine Peace Deal

Moscow has stated that no peace agreement regarding the Ukraine crisis will be signed without considering Russia’s interests and security demands. Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko emphasized that Russia’s security remains an absolute priority.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko addressed the Ukraine crisis, stating that any potential resolution must consider Kyiv’s interests. However, he emphasized that the security of the Russian Federation remains Moscow’s “absolute priority.”
Grushko also noted that no European Union leaders have provided the necessary security guarantees to meet Moscow’s demands. He clarified that this issue is a crucial factor for reaching any agreement, and without it, signing a peace treaty is impossible.
