Syrian Security Forces Thwart Terror Plot in Damascus, Dismantle Operative Cell

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syria‘s Ministry of Interior confirmed it had foiled a terrorist plot and dismantled a terrorist cell that was aiming to strike the Al-Mazza area of Damascus.
A source within the Syrian Ministry of Interior stated that the dismantled cell was actively preparing for a new offensive intended to destabilize the security and tranquility of the residential area. During the subsequent security operation, authorities successfully seized launch platforms and various equipment that had been prepared for executing terrorist acts.
This significant security action follows previous incidents in the capital; specifically, on January 4th of this year, Syrian news outlets reported that several rockets had landed in the well-known Al-Mazza neighborhood of Damascus. Those earlier attacks resulted in material damage near the military airport and other public installations within the city.
