Gaza Casualty Count Surpasses 72,000 Since October 7 Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has released new statistics detailing the cumulative number of martyrs and wounded individuals following the Israeli army’s assaults on the territory since October 7 of last year.

The ministry’s latest announcement confirms that as of the present moment, 72,037 people have been martyred as a direct consequence of the Israeli military’s operations initiated on October 7, 2023. Furthermore, the total number of those injured in the ongoing attacks has reached 171,666.

The health authority also detailed recent activity, reporting that in the last few hours, the bodies of five martyrs were transferred to hospitals, and five additional individuals sustained injuries. Thousands more are currently listed as missing or buried beneath the rubble across the Gaza Strip.

The figures also reflect the situation since the ceasefire agreement was implemented on October 11, 2025. During this period, 586 people have been martyred, and 1,558 others have been wounded. Moreover, the remains of 717 martyrs have been recovered from beneath the debris since the truce began.
