Moscow Condemns Israeli Settlement Expansion in West Bank, Calls for Reversal of Decisions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian government has decisively announced its firm opposition to the recent resolutions passed by the Israeli security cabinet concerning the West Bank. In an official statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded that Israeli officials reconsider their actions, which are perceived as attempts to alter the existing situation across the contested territory.
Moscow stressed that the decisions implemented by Israel regarding the West Bank are profoundly alarming and warrant strong international condemnation. These recent measures, approved by the Israeli security cabinet on Monday, notably included the revocation of an existing Jordanian law and the significant advancement of settlement construction.
Published reports indicate that the Israeli cabinet moved to overturn the Jordanian law that previously prohibited the sale of land in the region to Jewish individuals prior to the 1967 occupation of the West Bank. Furthermore, the Israeli security cabinet ratified further decisions aimed at accelerating and expanding settlement activity throughout the West Bank.
