Fully Domestic 110 kW Solar Plant Operational at Pardis Technology Park to Boost Sustainable Energy

According to the Economic Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamid Khordanian, the Technical and Engineering Deputy of Pardis Technology Park, announced the launch of the wholly Iranian-made solar power plant within the Innovation Zone, emphasizing the growing necessity of renewable energy sources.
Khordanian stated that increasing energy demands and the imperative to decrease dependence on fossil fuels have made the construction of renewable power stations a core requirement for ensuring stable electricity and supporting the activities of technology-based companies.
The new solar facility, established with an investment of 40 billion Rials over a six-month period, boasts a capacity to generate approximately 165 megawatt-hours of clean electricity annually. This project serves as a successful case study demonstrating synergy between industry, technical knowledge, and environmental considerations.
Highlighting the project’s unique attributes, Khordanian confirmed that all integrated equipment, including the 20 and 25-kilowatt panels and inverters, were domestically manufactured. The inverters were specifically designed and produced by a knowledge-based company operating within the Iran Innovation Zone, a significant stride toward reducing reliance on foreign technology, curbing capital outflow, and bolstering domestic maintenance and support capabilities.
Furthermore, the technical deputy noted that the developing company also created monitoring software for the power station, enabling real-time tracking of electricity output, calculating the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, and providing environmental equivalencies.
With the commissioning of this plant, the total active solar capacity in the Iran International Innovation Zone has reached 600 kilowatts. Plans are currently underway to expand this capacity to 30 megawatts in the near future through private sector partnerships.
Khordanian concluded by stressing that beyond stabilizing the regional power grid, this project offers an inspiring model for developing green jobs and promoting investment in the renewable energy sector. Additionally, member companies at the zone that draw high-capacity electricity have committed to sourcing a minimum of 5 percent of their energy consumption from renewable resources.
