Kremlin Urges Diplomatic Resolution for Iran Issues, Cites Regional Stability

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidency, Dmitry Peskov, stated during a press conference in Moscow that a political and diplomatic resolution is the preferred pathway for addressing the situation surrounding Iran. He indicated that this approach would contribute to the return of stability in the region, referencing the actions of the United States and the Israeli regime concerning Iran.
Peskov further elaborated on Russia’s ongoing commitment to regional connectivity, highlighting that Russia, Iran, and several other regional nations maintain a strong interest in the North-South transport corridor project. He expressed Moscow’s optimism regarding the realization of this initiative, noting that a significant portion of the project has already been completed.
Addressing developments in the conflict in Ukraine, Peskov dismissed the notion of pressuring Russia as futile and meaningless. He affirmed that Russia continues its special military operation while simultaneously remaining open to avenues for achieving a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.
