Russia States No Evidence of Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program

Moscow reiterated that there is no evidence to support claims of Iran’s nuclear weapons program, emphasizing its readiness to assist Tehran on the issue of uranium.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian officials and representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) convened in Moscow on Friday. The meeting was led by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA.

During the talks, Alexey Likhachev stated that the transformation of the Bushehr nuclear power plant into a target for military attacks would be suicidal. He emphasized that Moscow has not received any indications suggesting the development of nuclear weapons by Iran and lacks any evidence to substantiate such allegations. Likhachev affirmed Russia’s consistent willingness to provide assistance to Tehran concerning the matter of uranium.
