Israeli Airstrike Kills 12 Medical Personnel in Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that twelve members of the country’s medical staff were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a healthcare facility in southern Lebanon. Al Mayadeen, citing data published by Mehr News Agency, detailed the incident.
The Ministry of Health specified in a statement that an Israeli airstrike targeted the primary healthcare center in the town of Burj Qallawiyah, located in the Marjayoun District of the Nabatieh Governorate. The strike resulted in the martyrdom of twelve physicians, paramedics, and nurses. The Ministry noted that this is an initial casualty count, and search and rescue operations continue to find those missing under the rubble.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health condemned the Israeli attack on the medical center, emphasizing that the missile strike is in direct violation of all international humanitarian laws. The statement further indicated that this act of aggression is the second attack on medical personnel within a few hours. On Friday evening, two paramedics were targeted in an Israeli army airstrike in the town of Al-Sawana, southern Lebanon.
In a separate incident, the Lebanese Ministry of Health also announced that five other individuals were martyred and five citizens were injured following an Israeli airstrike on the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon. This airstrike occurred in the Al-Rahibat neighborhood of Nabatieh city. Initial reports confirm five Lebanese citizens were martyred and five others sustained injuries.
