Hezbollah Accuses Lebanese Government of Facilitating Israeli Aggression

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hassan Fadlallah, a representative of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, stated that Iran insists on stopping the aggressions against Lebanon and has not accepted any agreement that excludes Lebanon. He added that amid Iran’s insistence, the occupiers are attempting to preempt by escalating their attacks, exploiting the stance of Beirut officials and their insistence on continuing direct negotiations while rejecting their suspension amidst bloody massacres.
Fadlallah asserted that Lebanese officials are not only evading their duties but are also providing the enemy with a political platform to justify its aggressions. He recalled prior efforts to prevent war and cooperate with national officials to extend full control over southern Lebanon, but noted their failure to halt the attacks and their abdication of responsibility.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving the country, Fadlallah stated, “No one should intimidate us with sedition and civil war.” He warned that the Israeli regime’s “crimes” against southern Lebanese cities and villages are being carried out with American permission and the “suspicious overlooking” of Beirut officials. The senior Hezbollah member elaborated that the objectives of these “crimes” are to inflict maximum damage, increase the cost of the people’s resistance, and facilitate occupation and displacement to empower the Zionists in future land annexation, as well as to counter American financial and economic pressures on the resistance environment.
Fadlallah stressed that the existence of resistance and the steadfastness of the people deter the enemy from achieving its historical ambitions, asserting that in the face of Israel’s bloody aggressions, there is no option but resistance and steadfastness. He stated that the resistance’s duty is to prevent the occupiers from establishing themselves in Lebanon and to wear them down, and that even if they enter Lebanese areas, the resistance will continue its operations to prevent their establishment.
He also highlighted that one of the sources of strength is the unity and cohesion of the resistance environment, particularly between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement.
In this context, the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc previously declared that instead of benefiting from Iran’s efforts to include Lebanon in a ceasefire, Lebanese authorities are creating obstacles. The bloc accused officials of insisting on a downward approach and losing sovereignty and rights under the pretext of direct negotiations with the enemy, and stressed that Lebanese officials have engaged in military negotiations through which the enemy seeks to impose security coordination in favor of its aggressions against Lebanon.
A meeting between the military delegations of the Lebanese government and the Israeli regime is scheduled to take place today at the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters in Washington.
