Global Airfare Prices Surge 10-15% Amid West Asia Conflict, Fuel Shortages

Global air ticket prices have risen by 10 to 15 percent due to conflicts in West Asia, with major airlines reportedly reconsidering flight schedules amid fuel supply concerns.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, global airfare prices have seen an increase of 10 to 15 percent as a result of ongoing conflicts in West Asia, as reported by Maya Lamidze, the head of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Lamidze also stated that major international airlines are currently reviewing their flight plans due to a developing fuel crisis. This situation stems from the aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iranian territory on February 28, 2026, which disrupted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. This disruption has subsequently led to shortages in fuel, energy, and various other commodities worldwide.
