The President reiterated his claim that this proposed accord would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and ensure the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He stated, “We are in the final stages of this agreement. I do not believe there are any differences, and all parties have come very close to an agreement.” Concurrently, President Trump indicated that U.S. sanctions against Iranian ports remain in effect, a continuation of the administration’s dual policy approach. Regarding regional conflicts, Trump commented that Iran and the Israeli regime had agreed to a ceasefire, having engaged in reciprocal attacks before reaching an understanding facilitated by his mediation.
