Following recent military developments and increased tensions, the embassy urged U.S. nationals present in Iraq to remain exceptionally vigilant regarding their personal safety.

The advisory explicitly stated, “We advise U.S. citizens in Iraq to maintain the highest level of awareness, vigilance, and attention.” The U.S. Embassy further elaborated on the security concerns, highlighting the possibility of travel disruptions and sudden airspace closures within the region. The diplomatic mission concluded by reminding its citizens that Iraq remains under the highest travel advisory level, Level Four, which signifies ‘Do not travel to Iraq under any circumstances.’
