China Reiterates Commitment to Facilitating Iran-US Talks, Pledges Humanitarian Aid

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated its commitment to facilitating the negotiation process between Iran and the United States. The ministry also emphasized that humanitarian aid shipments will soon be dispatched to Iran and Lebanon.
Previously, the Chinese Foreign Minister, in a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart, congratulated Pakistan on brokering the initial understanding between Iran and the United States. He described the preservation of peace as a shared responsibility for all nations.
The minister further explained that China has also engaged in mediation efforts between Iran and the United States through its own channels. He characterized the current agreement as a starting point, not a final destination, underscoring that sustained peace in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region necessitates continued efforts from all parties. While acknowledging that the second phase of negotiations may present greater obstacles than the first, he stressed that this should not deter progress or lead to a step backward.
