Pakistan Prime Minister’s Switzerland Visit Canceled Amidst US-Iran Talks

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has canceled his planned visit to Switzerland, a trip that was intended to coincide with initial talks between the United States and Iran. The cancellation comes as technical negotiations between Tehran and Washington were set to begin separately.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s state television has reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s trip to Switzerland has been canceled. This development follows earlier announcements from the Swiss government regarding a meeting of representatives from the United States, Iran, Pakistan, Qatar, and other relevant nations scheduled for Friday. The meeting was intended to facilitate preliminary discussions subsequent to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington.

The report did not specify the reasons behind the cancellation of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit. It was indicated that technical negotiations between Iran and the United States would proceed independently.
