According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir have arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, to participate in crucial negotiations between Iran and the United States. The meetings are intended to foster an understanding to halt regional conflicts, with a primary focus on the war in Iran and the cessation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

United States Vice President J.D. Vance also arrived in Switzerland shortly before, set to engage in the latest round of discussions between Washington and Tehran. The situation in Lebanon, amidst repeated Israeli incursions, is the central theme of this negotiation session. Citing an informed diplomat, CNN reported that an emergency session dedicated to developments in Lebanon is scheduled at the outset of the talks, making it the initial topic for the American and Iranian delegations to address.

Prior to his departure for Switzerland, Vance stated that achieving progress towards a ceasefire in Lebanon is a top priority for the negotiations. These remarks follow the renewed missile attacks by Israel on Lebanese territory. An Iranian official informed the American network that ending the conflict in Lebanon is the most significant item on the Iranian delegation’s agenda.
