Russia’s Envoy Calls US Uranium Enrichment Ban Demand on Iran Illogical
Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, has described the United States’ insistence on prohibiting Iran from enriching uranium as completely illogical. This statement comes in response to remarks by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who affirmed Iran’s right to enrich uranium.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, the Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna, has questioned the rationale behind the United States’ persistent demand for Iran to halt its uranium enrichment activities. In a message posted on the social media platform X, Ulyanov stated, “Can anyone explain why the United States insists on the non-enrichment of uranium?”
The Russian envoy further elaborated that this stance appears entirely unreasonable. Ulyanov’s remarks were made in reaction to comments by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, who asserted that Iran would not relinquish its right to enrich uranium.
