Israeli Drone Strike Kills Two in Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, two individuals were killed in a drone strike by the Israeli regime targeting a vehicle in the vicinity of Kafr Rumman, southern Lebanon, on Tuesday. The Civil Defense Directorate of southern Lebanon announced the incident, noting the deaths occurred following the drone attack.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the two deceased were traveling in an X5 SUV on the Al-Dabsha Hill road towards Doha Kafr Rumman when the Israeli drone struck. This marks another escalation in the ongoing hostilities along the Lebanese border.
In related developments, Israeli forces were reported to have fired on a vehicle in the Al-Deir neighborhood of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa and another vehicle near the army barracks, constituting further violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon. Additionally, an enemy drone dropped two sonic bombs on the town of Barachit in the Bint Jbeil district.
Further north, an enemy Israeli patrol, accompanied by a D9 bulldozer, entered the town of Ain Al-Arab. The patrol issued an ultimatum to the town’s mayor, demanding residents evacuate their homes by 5 PM on Tuesday, threatening demolition if the order was not heeded. This directive comes after the Lebanese army had reopened the road leading to Ain Al-Arab the previous day, facilitating the return of some residents after a period of closure. The town is currently in a state of apprehension.
The Lebanese army had also facilitated the return of residents to their villages in the border town of Ain Al-Arab, located in the Marjayoun district. This allowed inhabitants to assess their homes and property and begin repairs to war-induced damages after extended displacement. Media sources indicate a notable decrease in the intensity of Israeli regime attacks on Lebanon since Saturday.
In parallel diplomatic efforts, American and Iranian parties, during their negotiations in Switzerland, agreed to establish a “dispute settlement mechanism.” This mechanism will involve both parties, along with Lebanon, and mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, with the aim of guaranteeing the implementation of a ceasefire in Lebanon.
