Netanyahu Concludes Testimony in Israeli Corruption Trial After 98 Sessions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded his testimony in his corruption cases today, after 98 court sessions held over 17 months. Netanyahu began testifying in his own defense against the corruption charges against him for the first time since his trial commenced in 2020, appearing in court starting in late 2024.
The Prime Minister of the Israeli regime faces charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three cases known as 1000, 2000, and 4000. In Case 1000, Netanyahu is accused of receiving gifts valued at approximately $300,000 from Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan and Australian businessman James Packer in exchange for tax benefits and diplomatic support. Case 2000 pertains to negotiations between Netanyahu and Arnon Mozes, publisher of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper. These discussions allegedly aimed to secure more favorable media coverage in return for supporting legislation to limit the operations of the free newspaper Israel Hayom. In Case 4000, Netanyahu is alleged to have facilitated a business deal to benefit Shaul Elovitch, the controlling shareholder of the telecommunications company Bezeq, and in return, received biased coverage from Walla, a website owned by Elovitch.
