Erdogan Denounces Israeli Government as ‘Band of Thugs’ Amid Regional Tensions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned the Israeli government, labeling it a ‘band of thugs’ and accusing Western nations supporting it of complicity in atrocities. His remarks come amid ongoing regional conflicts and Turkey’s commitment to seeking lasting peace.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the Israeli government is not a state but a group of thugs competing to commit genocide. Speaking at a weekly meeting of the Justice and Development Party in Ankara, Erdogan addressed Turkey’s stance on regional developments and the ongoing conflict in the region.

Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s continued dedication to supporting efforts for a stable and lasting solution to the regional crisis, vowing to utilize all its capabilities to achieve peace if even the slightest opportunity arises. He further criticized the actions of the Israeli regime, asserting that a criminal network has transformed terrorism and occupation into official policy. This network, he alleged, has spent the past ten days attempting to derail a hard-won agreement.

The Turkish President highlighted that an extremist group within Israel opposes peace and tranquility in the region. He asserted that if peace is to prevail, it will happen despite Israel’s opposition, and if calm is to be established, it will be in spite of Tel Aviv’s provocations.

Erdogan also sharply criticized Western countries that back the Israeli regime, stating that those who blindly support it are full partners in its crimes and killings. He added that international powers providing political and military support to Israel bear direct responsibility for the bloodshed of innocents.

Furthermore, President Erdogan described the global silence in the face of ongoing atrocities in Gaza as a stain on human history. He reaffirmed that Turkey will not waver from its principled positions in defending the Palestinian cause and supporting the Palestinian people.
