Foreign Policy: US Ammunition Use in War Exceeds Official Figures, Report Indicates

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the publication Foreign Policy, in a report concerning the armaments utilized by the United States in its war with Iran, referenced data from General Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). Speaking at a Senate hearing last month, Cooper stated that the U.S. military employed 14,000 offensive munitions throughout the conflict. Mehr News Agency published this information.

Foreign Policy further elaborated that a recent report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies estimates the actual reduction in ammunition stockpiles could be even greater. This revised estimate takes into account munitions used in air defense systems, such as Patriot missiles and THAAD systems.

The report also highlights that the U.S. administration is seeking to increase production capacity by leveraging automotive factories. According to the report, President Trump announced last Monday that companies like Ford and General Motors would dedicate some of their facilities to weapons manufacturing.
