Shipping Halts in Strait of Hormuz Amid Heightened Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing international navigation data published by Mehr News Agency, the American news agency Bloomberg has reported a near-total halt in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Bloomberg further indicated that any limited maritime activity observed in the strait is largely confined to a northern route for which Iran has granted transit permission.
This situation has emerged after the U.S. military reportedly conducted strikes on numerous targets within Iranian territory for the second consecutive night. In response to these American attacks, Iran’s armed forces launched extensive operations against U.S. military bases in the region yesterday. Iranian armed forces have also initiated attacks today on multiple American interests and targets across the region.
