Iran’s IRGC Claims Retaliatory Strikes on Jordanian Airbase

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has issued a statement claiming responsibility for retaliatory operations against alleged transgressions by the United States military. The IRGC stated that it carried out strikes against fuel depots and ammunition storage at the Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan. This action is characterized by the IRGC as a tit-for-tat response.
The statement, released with the invocation “In the Name of God, the Subduer of Tyrants,” referenced the steadfastness of the Iranian people and the unprecedented demonstrations in Iraq, which it claims have astonished the world, emboldened Islamic fighters, and alarmed the United States. The IRGC alleged that the U.S. military, in an attempt to compensate for this perceived setback, resorted to further actions.
The IRGC’s announcement detailed that the previous night, following a naval operation by the IRGC to intercept two vessels allegedly disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz by disabling their systems and taking an illegal route, the U.S. military, which the IRGC identified as the instigator of these dangerous actions, revealed its “savage nature” by allegedly encroaching upon the coastal bases of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces. The IRGC further asserted that its forces, in the initial phase of responding to these alleged incursions, set fire to several large missile storage facilities and fuel depots at the Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan through missile and drone attacks.
The IRGC concluded by stating that the retaliatory operations by its forces are ongoing and that further results will be communicated in subsequent statements. The statement also included religious verses, translating to “If you support Allah, He will support you and make firm your feet.”
