Brazil Opposes US Attack on Iran, President Lula Accuses Trump of Piracy

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced that Brazil is against a U.S. attack on Iran. He emphasized that Brazil does not accept a U.S. assault on Iran and cautioned that the cost of war would directly impact the prices of essential food items.
The Brazilian President also criticized the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that Trump is engaging in piracy by imposing a 20 percent tariff on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. These remarks come as the U.S. President claimed on the social media platform Truth Social that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open with or without Iran’s presence, and that the United States will be recognized as the guardian of the strait. He further asserted that all costs for this mission and for securing this volatile region of the world should be reimbursed, proposing a 20 percent fee based on the value of all cargo passing through.
